11th November Marks the Official Opening of Majan Lounge
F&M Middle East has successfully delivered Majan Lounge, which is the latest addition to the Muscat International Airport, as part of Oman Aviation Services’ endeavor to provide luxurious services of world class standards to travelers. The opening ceremony for the Lounge was inaugurated under the patronage of HE Salim Al-Aufi, Undersecretary of Ministry of Oil and Gas and Executive Member of Oman Aviation Group, Mustafa Al Hinai, CEO of Oman Aviation Group, and Dr. Khalfan Al-Shueili CEO of Oman Aviation Services.
F&M Middle East is proud to be the Lead Design and Site Supervision Consultant for the luxurious lounge which covers an area of 1,078 square meters and can accommodate up to 300 passengers around the clock. The new lounge features architectural elements that were inspired by the history, geography and colours of Oman, mainly from the historical “Majan” civilization. The colours, tones and feel of the overall space are reminiscent of the copper palette, as well as the natural landscapes of the area which was formerly called Majan. One of the key aspects of this lounge, which is not found in any of the others in the airport, is the presence of a relaxation pool, intended to bring a calm atmosphere away from the busy airport. Another unique comfort factor in the lounge is the presence of tunable lighting, in which a smart lighting system was utilized and is automated to adapt to external light conditions.
