Sassa School Campus
The new Sassa School Campus is designed as a permeable and easily accessible system with the characteristics of a Civic Center open to the city. The plan is divided into five independent buildings arranged in a chessboard pattern to form an organic arrangement of built and green areas. The intervention area on which the school complex will be built occupies an area of 21,000 sqm, of which 1,600 sqm will be used for parking and 15,400 sqm for open spaces and gardens. The gross built up area is 4,600 sqm and will include a nursery school for 120 childrens, a primary school for 250 students and a secondary school for 150 students. There will also be a lunch room and a gymnasium.
A school community of 520 students will be concentrated in a single area, concentrating all the units currently scattered throughout the area and becoming a new reference point for the local community. The five buildings will be interconnected by a system of pedestrian paths connecting all the buildings, making the intervention unified.
