EXPO 2020 Dubai, the Universal Exhibition that follows the Milan Expo of 2015, will be postponed by one year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It will start on 1st October 2021 and end on 31^st March 2022.

The Bureau International des Expositions, the intergovernmental body that governs Universal Exhibitions, announced that the member countries ratified the decision by reaching the two-thirds supermajority required for the postponement, which was requested last month by the Government of the United Arab Emirates. The voting process will nonetheless continue until 29^th May.
