Oman Pavilion construction site progress updates | Expo 2020 – Dubai
In May 2020, after the formal request of the Dubai Expo Steering Committee as a result of the current COVID-19 Pandemic, the Bureau International des Exposition in Paris officially announced the postponement of the mega event by one year, in which the Expo shall now run from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.
However, the construction activities for Oman Pavilion are still ongoing as scheduled and the pavilion structural and MEP works at near completion stage. F&M Middle East has ensured that the Site Engineers and Construction Team are taking pre-cautions when conducting their site inspections, and have emphasized their stance on the welfare of their employees whether in their local offices, site offices or on the field.
The pavilion construction was launched last October 2019, and it is in the mobility district. The design resembles an Omani frankincense tree where the internal spaces are divided into five zones, that takes visitors and users on a journey to discover the past, present and future of Luban while immersed in a multi-media interactive environment.
