Centrality Axis, Perugia
Public space renovation, 2023
The Ponte San Giovanni district, the largest of those that arose after the Second World War around the historic centre of Perugia, is characterised by an articulated endowment of public services concentrated on a road axis, Via Cestellini, overlooked by an urban void, now used as a weekly market and car park. The proposed intervention focuses on the axis and the neighbouring areas, creating an intervention capable of giving a new image to the open spaces and redeveloping the connective system that connects the various public buildings facing it.
