The project follows the guidelines of the so-called Universal Design (or Design for All), which aims to create systems and infrastructures that are accessible to all categories of users, regardless of specific disability conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The supporting structure is entirely in stainless steel. The uprights of the parapets are transformed, immediately below the deck, into the vertical profiles of a Vierendeel-type composite beam, in order to optimise the visual transparency of the structure. Innovative is the design of the pedestrian surface in self-supporting fibreglass plates, with high mechanical and anti-slip characteristics, low self weight and limited noise production, certified with special workshop and on-site tests.<\/p>\n<p>ATI: F&amp;M Ingegneria Spa, Ing.
