Ibri Industrial City Construction Progress
The Public Establishment of Industrial Estates (Madayn) is currently implementing the construction project of Ibri Industrial City, in Al Dhahirah Governorate. The area spanning 10 million sqm located along the road leading to the border between the Sultanate and Saudi Arabia. The current completion rate of the infrastructure project in Phase One has surpassed 27%.
F&M Middle East has been appointed to carry out the design and supervision of the masterplan, roads, infrastructure and utilities, authorities approvals, environmental impact assessment and flooding protection assessment.
The project will be implemented in phases, beginning with Phase 1 of an area of 3 million sqm.
Ibri Industrial City will offer a variety of light & medium activities including workshops, commercial areas, administrative offices, industrial workshops, and warehouses, in addition to supporting facilities & residential areas dedicated to workers.
The project aims to boost and support the national economy by attracting foreign investments into the Sultanate and localizing the national capital; contributing to stimulating the private sector to achieve sustainable economic and social development; achieving environmental sustainability, and contributing to the creation of new job opportunities for the national cadres as Hilal Al Hasani, CEO of Madayn pointed out.
On the other hand, Sheikh Saif Bin Hamiar Al Shehhi emphasized that Ibri Industrial City was being set up at an ideal time to create an integrated environment for the industrial sector in Al Dhahirah governorate and the Sultanate in general.
