Ibri Industrial City Construction works to start soon
The Public Establishment of Industrial Estates (Madayn) announced on Monday that the detailed design works for the proposed new industrial city in Wilayat Ibri has been completed and the tender for construction work will be issued soon.
Ibri Industrial City located in Al Dhahirah Governorate in an area spanning 10 million sqm located along the road leading to the border between the Sultanate and Saudi Arabia. Phase 1 of the project will be developed on an area of 3 million sqm with the provision of all basic services.
Ibri Industrial City will offer a variety of light & medium activities including workshops, commercial areas, administrative offices, industrial workshops, and warehouses, in addition to supporting facilities & residential areas dedicated to workers.
F&M Middle East is appointed to carry out the design and supervision of the masterplan, roads, infrastructure and utilities, authorities approval, environmental impact assessment and flooding protection assessment.
Eng Nasser al Mabsali, director general of the Ibri Industrial City, said, “The work is underway in the industrial city as per the planned timeframe, and investors wishing to set up their projects in Ibri Industrial City can apply through Madayn website.”
Saif al Badi, member of the board of directors of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and head of OCCI branch in Dhahirah, said, “Since it was announced, Ibri Industrial City started to receive investment applications and enquiries. Significant efforts are being made to accelerate the implementation of this project.”
