Redevelopment of Piazza D’Armi
The main element that dominates the space is the large metal corrugated roof that characterizes the two buildings. The square will be a flexible space, easily accessible and capable of accommodating multiple functions. For the central axis, in correspondence with the two buildings, a light-colored stone pavement will be inserted, while for the part that houses the market stalls, a washed concrete covering is planned. Street furniture is linked to green areas thanks to a system of trees and circular benches arranged uniformly within the lot. An LED lighting system will allow the square to be illuminated even during night hours, ensuring safety and use at all times. Total area of the area: 40,000.00 square meters.
