Design activities kicked off today for IBRI Industrial City. F&M Middle East is appointed to carry out full consultancy services for design & supervision from master planning till detailed design & supervision of the area.
The Public Establishment of Industrial Estates (Madayn) announced today the beginning of works to establish Ibri Industrial City in Al Dhahirah Governorate in an area spanning 10 million sqm located along the road leading to the border between the Sultanate and Saudi Arabia.
F&M Middle East has been appointed to carry out the design and supervision of the masterplan, roads, infrastructure and utilities, authorities approvals, environmental impact assessment and flooding protection assessment
The project will be implemented in phases beginning with Phase 1, in which the detailed design and tender documents for construction of the project are expected to be announced within the end of 2020.
Ibri Industrial City will offer a variety of light & medium activities including workshops, commercial areas, administrative offices, industrial workshops, and warehouses, in addition to supporting facilities & residential areas dedicated to workers.
The project aims to boost and support the national economy by attracting foreign investments into the Sultanate and localizing the national capital; contributing to stimulating the private sector to achieve sustainable economic and social development; achieving environmental sustainability, and contributing to the creation of new job opportunities for the national cadres as Hilal Al Hasani, CEO of Madayn pointed out.
On the other hand, Sheikh Saif Bin Hamiar Al Shehhi emphasized that Ibri Industrial City was being set up at an ideal time to create an integrated environment for the industrial sector in Al Dhahirah governorate and the Sultanate in general.
