Geotechnical Civil Engineer

F&M Ingegneria is looking for a Civil Geotechnical Engineer to join the Geotechnics department and be involved in the technical management of multiple projects, working closely with the design team. The professional may be based either at the head office in Mirano (VE).

Main activities:

• Planning geognostic investigation plans;
• Processing the results of on-site and laboratory tests, and defining geotechnical parameters;
• Designing and verifying shallow and deep foundation works, and dimensioning retaining structures (walls, cantilevered or restrained bulkheads);
• Implementation of calculation models with specific geotechnical engineering software (Plaxis 2D/3D, Paratie, Slide, etc.);
• Local Seismic Response analysis;
• Verification of the susceptibility to liquefaction of cohesionless soils;
• Drafting of technical and calculation reports, specifications, and estimated metric calculations;
• Production and control of graphic designs;
• Back-office assistance to the Operational Management of Structures for geotechnical aspects.

The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Geotechnics, or degree in Environmental Engineering;
• Minimum 2 years’ of experience in the role;
• Excellent ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Excellent organizational skills regarding deadlines;
• Excellent knowledge of Autocad and the Office suite;
• Good knowledge of specific geotechnical engineering software (Plaxis 2D/3D, Paratie, Slide, etc.);
• Immediate availability.
