An important day for the Città della Salute e della Ricerca construction site.

On Monday 21 September, the site hosted an official visit attended by the President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana; the Mayor of Sesto San Giovanni, Roberto Di Stefano; regional representatives; and senior management from the IRCCS Carlo Besta Neurological Institute and the National Cancer Institute.

Designed by Mario Cucinella Architects, the new complex will cover approximately 130,000 m², bringing together healthcare, research, services and green spaces.

Also present was the F&M Ingegneria team, which, together with Manens, is overseeing the project’s construction management. The project is promoted by the Lombardy Region through ARIA and being carried out by CISAR Milano, a company in which Fincantieri Infrastrutture Sociali – FINSO (Fincantieri Group), Condotte 1880 and Edison Next hold stakes.

This marks an important milestone for a construction site that is now in full swing and for a project set to bring together healthcare, research and innovation within a single major hub.
