The New Genoa Breakwater: first caisson lowered

The first caisson of the new Breakwater Genoa was lowered last week to a depth of 25 meters. It is as tall as a seven-story skyscraper.

Sustainable and innovative, they use a unique cement mix to ensure watertightness and recycled materials from the demolition of the old dam in a circular economy perspective.
