The restyling of the former Consorzio Agrario in Milan creates a campus for 700 students
The project provides for the re-functionalization of the building “former agricultural consortium” located between Via Ripamonti and Viale Isonzo, for the construction of a student residence with the aim of offering a service to university students and revitalize a corner of the city by triggering new social dynamics. The project on the existing project provides for the recovery and renovation of the corner building Isonzo/Ripamonti with volumetric extension and the creation of additional surfaces in the roof. The project also provides for the construction of a new building, to create a central open space that acts as an element of catalyzation and distribution of flows characterizing itself as an element capable of reconnecting the two volumes. The new building in fact will host mainly single and double rooms equipped with private bathroom and characterized by pertinent areas of living room with kitchenette, treated typologically as micro lodgings with 8/12 rooms.
