The project involves the first part of the structural works for the enlargement of the existing Pier VII with an addiction of an area 100×140 m.
The new quay is sized to accommodate Ship to Shore (STS) cranes of the Super-Post-Panamax type and an LHM 550 crane currently used by TMT. A container storage yard on 5+1 pitches is planned, served by a Rail Mounted Gantry (RMG) crane, mobile cranes, Reach Stackers and Side Loader.
