The Green Energy Laboratory (GEL) is a “green” building dedicated to research activities on sustainable HVAC technologies, built inside the Minhang Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The building is composed by three floors with a total surface of 1500 sqm and a maximum height of 18.15 m. The first two floors will host laboratories and offices, while the third floor is arranged as a residential space to simulate residential living conditions and to perform tests on energy efficient systems and facade. The building has been designed according to the most recent and advanced sustainability criteria and will be certificated according to LEED standard obtaining a Gold Level Certification.
