The historic building “Manin-Pilsen” has been renewed with an extensive refurbishment of the inner layout maintaining the original facades of the XIX century to become a new shopping center closed to Piazza San Marco and to host the firs Zara store in Venice of about 2,500 sqm of retail space. The works faced a lot of constraints not usual even in the Venetian sites: the very narrow site, making safe the pathways for the tourists, the accessibility of the near shop and bar. The constraints were solved by an “inner construction site”, the night works, very strictly rules for the movement of the materials. All these solutions were designed during the detail design to make easy and quickly the construction phases.
