F&M Post #8 | PADIGLIONE ITALIA – EXPO 2020 DUBAI

The eighth issue, F&M Post #8, focuses on the Italy Pavilion for Expo Dubai 2020: an experiment in reconfigurable architecture and circularity. It is made up of three ship hulls forming the roof of the structure, a multimedia facade built with 70 kilometres of nautical ropes made from recycled plastic, and a natural climate-mitigation system that replaces air conditioning. The Italy Pavilion was designed by CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati and Italo Rota Building Office, together with Matteo Gatto and F&M Ingegneria.
