The Podere Guardia Grande winery blends into the Sardinian agricultural landscape, reinterpreting its rational forms and the earth’s colours. Spread over three levels, it integrates the production facilities into the ground and features, on the top floor, a glass-walled room overlooking the landscape. The structure is built of reinforced concrete with earth-retaining walls, reinforced concrete floors and strip foundations, designed to harmonise with the morphology of the hill. The production spaces include the winemaking and ageing areas, organised according to an efficient production cycle, whilst the materials and construction details reinforce the connection with the local context.
