F&M Ingegneria… IMMERSED IN THE GREEN!

Away from the cities? Away from large urban centres? F&M, as far back as the 1980s, bet on rediscovering a historically valuable space immersed in nature, far from major urban centres, establishing its main headquarters in the premises of the former “Molino di Sopra” in Mirano, on the edge of an area of environmental value adjacent to one of the most significant parks in the Veneto region: the Villa Belvedere Park.

Easily reachable from Padua, Venice and Treviso, close to the Pd-Ve railway line and just 15 minutes from Marco Polo Airport, the headquarters occupies the spaces of an ancient water mill cited together with the “Molino di Sotto” in Mirano in ancient documents dating back to the year 1000 AD — which, like many others scattered throughout the Venetian hinterland, from the 15th to the 18th century produced grain to meet the food and commercial needs of the Serenissima.

A choice shaped by the awareness that a pleasant working environment generates feelings of well-being and positive emotions in employees, and one that has proven more apt than ever in these days. F&M never closed its Mirano headquarters since the start of the lockdown, but simply reorganised the internal functional layout to always ensure the safety conditions required by the DPCM of 22 March 2020. Here is how we adapted in just a few simple steps:

1. First, we set up an area at the entrance for the registration, sanitisation and temperature screening of everyone accessing the premises;

2. We then installed protective plexiglass panels at reception, to protect staff most exposed to external contacts;

3. At the same time, we distanced workstations, redistributing some operational areas where necessary;

4. We subsequently organised shift-based access to the kitchen.

And finally… we literally invaded the green spaces surrounding the mill, not only during lunch breaks but also for coordination briefings on ongoing projects!

…obviously we all work wearing masks! 😷😉
